Each 8-second clip has text that stays in one place: a title and date on drone footage of a lake, a lower-third name tag in an interview, and a price label over a vegetable stall. One box per label covers it.
Illustrative comparison: sample text was added to licensed footage. The After clip is the clean source, not an AI processing result.
Select area works when all the text you want removed stays inside the same box for the whole clip, even if the words change. Where the text sits matters, not what it says.
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Text that stays in one areaA name tag, date stamp, price or handle, or a lyric band where the words change but the position does not. | Select area Draw a box around that area. The box applies to the whole clip, so every word shown inside it is removed, and text outside it, including text you want to keep, stays as it is. |
| Text that moves around the framePop-on captions that jump to new positions, or a label or sign that drifts as the camera moves. | Subtitles / All text A box stays in one place, so this text slides out of it. For caption lines, use Subtitles, which detects them across frames. For other moving text, such as a label or a sign, use All text; it may also remove text you want to keep. | Text all over the frameSeveral titles, labels and subtitles in different places at once. | All text All text scans the whole frame. It may also remove text you wanted to keep, such as a sign in the scene. |
Any short piece of text on top of the picture that stays in one area. These are the most common:
The box gets a visible safety margin and covers the whole clip. Everything inside it is redrawn, not only the letters, so textures, edges and small objects there may look different. Keep it tight.
If the words drift or the camera pans with them, part of the text can slide out of the box. Use Subtitles for caption lines or All text for other text.
AI estimates what was hidden. A small box over a plain background looks cleanest; a large box over a busy scene shows more artifacts.
